At 1903 Hours on October 14th 2025 Resort Bear Creek Fire Department along with Emmet County EMS and Emmet County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to intersection of Intertown in Eppler Road for a two vehicle accident. This involved a motorcycle versus a Toyota 4 runner. The driver of the motorcycle tragically lost his life in a collision. The driver of the Toyota 4 runner did not abstain any injuries.

Resort Bear Creek Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Emmet County EMS Emmet County Road Commission, Emmet County Sheriff's Department ,Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Police and CCE Central Dispatch

The incident remains under investigation by the Emmet County Sheriff's Department
